Tracks of a Wandering Mind

Poetry, stories and random thoughts from a wandering mind.

Walking Alone

You know life’s full of changes
And nothing stays the same.
The blues you carry with you now
Belong to yesterday.

The worry that you try so hard
To bottle up inside,
On display for the world to see,
Is just too hard to hide.

You can’t focus on another
To cure your misery,
But all you have to do is call
And I’ll be there you see.

I can’t carry that weight for you,
I can’t just grab your load,
But I’ll help you take every step
To the end of your road.

I know you’ve got fair weather friends,
But I’m not one of those
And when the storms rain on your life
You’ll know you’re not alone.
